Turkce arama yaptigim zaman, sonuclarda gosterilen sitelerin kisa metni (snippet) malesef goze hitap eden metinler olmuyor. Arama sonuclarinda, sitelere giden baglantilarin altindaki metine snippet deniyor ve bu snippetlar Google tarafindan cesitli kaynaklara basvurularak olusturuluyor.Bu kaynaklardan baslicasi sayfanin icinde bulunan <meta name=description content=”Arama sonucunda goruntulenen metin”> seklinde olusan meta tag. Eger sayfa icerigine robots.txt dosyasi sebebiyle veya baska bir sebepten ulasilamiyorsa, kisa metnin eger site DMOZ’da kayitliysa oradan cekilme ihtimali de bulunmakta.

Meta description etiketiyle ilgili cok onemli bir kilit nokta bulunmakta. Meta description tagi icinde kullandiginiz metin arama sonuclarinda siralamanizi etkilemiyor. Webrazzi’den okudugum habere gore ucretsiz sayac servisi sayyac.com Turkiye’deki sitelerle ilgili istatistikleri paylasima acmis. Istatistiklere buradan ulasabilirsiniz. Bu istatistikler, sayyac.com aracini kullanan sitelere giden ziyaretcilerin bir profilini cikartiyor, yani tum Turkiye’deki Internet kullanicilarina tekabul etmeyebilir. Ancak sayyac.com kullanan sitelerin sayisinin oldukca yuksek oldugunu dusunursek (62.774 site kayitli imis servise), gunluk 12-15 milyon arasi tekil kullanici sayimi gerceklesiyormus gunluk olarak, bu sayilarin genel Turkiye Internet kullanicilari hakkinda dogruya yakin bir bilgi berdigini dusunmek cok da yanlis olmaz.
Istatistiklerden cikan baslica noktalar:

  • Turkiye, Google kullaniyor. %98.66′nin aramam motoru tercihi Google.
  • Turkiye, Windows kullaniyor. Windows’un cesitli surumlerinin toplam erisim degeri %99.20 oluyor ki bu muazzam bir pazar payi. Hala Windows 98 kullanan %0.17′lik bir kesim olmasi oldukca uzucu.

Gecenlerde Facebook hakkinda yazdigim Internet’te dikkatli olmali yaziyi yazarken de aslinda bu konu surekli aklimdaydi. Internet’teki profilleriniz, yazdiklariniz, cizdikleriniz, biraktiginiz yorumlar, cektiginiz ve bulundugunuz resimler, sizi dis dunyaya tanitan birer arac haline geldi. Gecen yazidaki gibi aman dikkat seklinde bir dusuncem de yok bu sefer.

Bu konu aklima ilk olarak, bana Facebook’tan mesaj gondererek Google’da calismak istedigini belirten bir master ogrencisi arkadasimiz sayesinde takildi. Kendisi Google’da calismak istiyordu ancak kendisinin adi ve soyadini Google’da arattigim zaman karsima hicbir sonuc cikmadi. Ne bir Facebook profili, ne bir Twitter/Friendfeed profili, ne bir blog yorumu veya blog yazisi. Kendisinin Internet’teki varligi konusunda hicbir bilgi yoktu.

Bu tur platformlarda yazdiklariniz, insanlara kendinizi tanitabilmeniz icin cok cok onemli. Sadece bilgi almak ve bilgi paylasmak deil kastettigim. Bunlar, bu platformlarin birincil amaci tabii ki. Ancak bundan ziyade cok daha buyuk bir arti daha getiriyor bu alanlar: Bilinirlik. Ve bunu etkilemek de tamamen sizin elinizde. Ilgi duydugunuz veya uzman oldugunuz konuda yazarak, paylasarak Internet’teki bilinirliginizi arttirmaniz cok kolay. Yarin, obur gun bir is gorusmesine gittiginizde karsinizdaki kisinin sizin hakkinizda bilgi edinmesi icin mukemmel bir firsat. Internet’teki kimliginizi guclendirmek, belki hemen farkina varmasaniz bile elbet bir gun ise yarayacaktir.
